About the event: This meeting addresses the persistent under-representation of women in key decision-making positions at the international and multilateral levels. Through a dynamic dialogue with representatives of States, civil society and international organizations, the event seeks to promote gender equality in the OAS, discuss recent advances and necessary strategies, and propose concrete measures to transform these institutions. The inclusion of women in these spaces is not only a matter of justice and equality, but also strengthens the legitimacy and effectiveness of international decisions, incorporating diverse perspectives that represent half of the world’s population.
