We are Proud to share a new online publication on CEDAW’s GR40!
In a world where women remain underrepresented in most of the international decision-making spaces — from diplomacy and peacebuilding to international tribunals, multilateral organizations and climate forums, CEDAW’s General Recommendation No. 40 (GR40) offers something rare: an international law framework to demand parity.
Earlier this year, GQUAL and Opinio Juris held an online Symposium inviting experts from different backgrounds and regions to reflect on the potential of GR40 to shape leadership in different fields. The publication compiles all these contributions.
